Hilda was born in 1900 in the Waterloo district of the Colony of New South Wales. She was the daughter of James and Lily Maria Edwards.^[1]

Hilda married Douglas Cook on 20 July 1921 at St Matthew, Botany in the Redfern district of New South Wales.^[2][3]

She passed away on or before 31 March 1973.^[4]
