In January 2021, Steven Humphrey came across evidence in a listing of Civil War Veteran buried in Ohio that Moses is not actually in Trissel Cemetery, but is in fact buried in an unmarked grave near to Obadiah "Obed" Denham in what is sometimes called the Old Main Street Cemetery but is now know as the Early Settlers Burying Ground .

Hi Rick, (Also sending this as longer explanation via Email today)

Re merge between Moses Edwards (Edwards-8907) and Moses Edwards (Edwards-16889). Yes, these are the same people and merge should continue. There is quite a lot of confusion on these due to the Many Gedcoms Imports/ Ancestry /and FAG Mis-Information. I did Indepth research here sometime back.

Jacob (kent) Edwards m Spiers (marriage confirmation actually located as Feitje Hendrickse Spier) (info at Edwards-5216) Moses (Cory 1756) m Meeker (m 2X) (his son Moses Cory (1801) m Bostedo)

If you need add'l help to untangle all of this, please email me direct. Regards, Sandy

Edwards-16889 and Edwards-8907 are not ready to be merged because: These Moses Edwards 16889 and 8907 are the same people but my issue is with the father Jacob Edwards. There are to many irregularities with the birth and death dates of Jacob Edwards. The birth year of 1731 would mean Jacob would have been 14 when he married and 15 at the birth of his first son John. There are also issues with the gravestone and cemetery being confused with Jacob Edwards Jr. I have contacted the the church that was listed as Jacob sr. resting place and they have no record of Jacob Sr. If there is additional proof as to the origins of Jacob I would be very happy to see it and then approve the merger.
