Annie Eiland was born in 1830 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, United States.

Annie (16) married Peter McGee (21) (born on August 22, 1825 in Tuscaloosa; son of Peter McGee I and Anna (Moses) McGee) on July 14, 1847 in Pickens. Their children were:

In 1850, Annie (19) was living in the 1850 census with her husband, Peter (26); and Mary McGhee (2), and B Easterling (18). ^[1]

In the 1860 census Ann (age 30) was in Western Division, Fayette, Alabama.^[2]

In the 1870 census Ann (age 40), Keeping House, was in Wilson, Sanford, Alabama.^[3]

In the 1880 census Ann (age 50), Keeps House, was the wife of Peter Mcgee in Beat 1, Lamar, Alabama, United States.^[4]

Annie died in 1880 in Thorn Community, Chickasaw County, Mississippi, United States, aged 49. ^[5]

Research Notes

Most people believe that Mary Anne Eiland was born to Washington and Mary Amy Grant Eiland. A cousin (T235527) and myself (T551698 Dennis Wheeler) match on the same chromosome (16) with another distant 4th or 5th cousin (A952798) who appears to be descended from Enoch and Frances Trawick Eiland (parents of Washington Eiland). But I'm unable to actually tie Anne Eiland to Washington Eiland. There is a Washington Eiland family in Alabama in both the 1850 and 1860 census, but their daughter Mary A is about 10 years younger than our Mary Anne. Not to mention that our Anne is already married with children to Peter McGee in both the 1850 and 1860 census.

Addtional Note: However, Anne (married to Peter McGee) lives next door to Washington Eiland in the 1850 census. Tice-1359 9/13/23
