John Eldridge was born about 1811 and married Frances Goldsmith at Otford, Kent on 17 March 1833. [1]
He probably came to Australia on the 'Charles Kerr', which sailed from London on 6 Mar 1840 via Gravesend before arriving at Port Adelaide on 17 Jun 1840.
He passed away on 20 September 1887 at the age of 76. He was noted to be a colonist of 47 years. [2][3]
