Emily arrived in Canada from Belfast on Oct.26th 1913. She went into Domestic Service for Mrs. Hague. In 1914 at a Border Crossing she was described as being 23, single, 5"9" with Brown hair and blue eyes. She married Joseph Nantais, or Nantau a coloured gentleman who had been left by his wife with several children . Emily had had rheumatic fever as a child and this as she got older had affected her heart. Emily had no children of her own, and sadly died from heart problems at the age of 42, In Essex County, Canada.
