Biography

Martin was born about 1758 to John Ellis and Mary Martin.

On June 8, 1777, Martin married Mary Kingsley in Richmond, New Hampshire.[1] Together, they had at least eleven children.

Research Notes

Sites like FamilySearch.org often list Martin's birth date as his sister Martha's.[2] However, he likely was born after Martha and before sister Lois in 1760.[3]
