Biography

When Ozias Elmer was born on September 9, 1793, in Dummerston, Vermont, his father, Elijah, was 39 and his mother, Grace, was 36. He married Susan Edwards before 1818. They had six children in 17 years. He died on July 13, 1858, at the age of 64.

He lived in Hinsdale, N. H., until 1783, then removed to Athens, Vt., then in 1792 to New Fane, Vt., where he was elected Representative to the General Assembly in 1807, and where he died Dec. 28, 1833.
