William Emerson was born 9 Nov 1791, Hollis, Hillsborough, New Hampshire along with twin brother Samuel (who d. young) to parents Daniel Emerson, (Sr.) and Anna (Fletcher) Emerson of Hollis.Worcester, [1]

William married 1st 18 Apr 1814, Hollis, N.H., Sarah Jewett, b. 24 Feb 1790, Hollis, Hillsborough, N.H. [2]

Col. William Emerson married 2nd Mary Rice, 15 Feb 1838, Auburn, Worcester, Massachusetts. [3]

William Emerson served in the War of 1812 in Company Reg't Reed's Massachusetts Militia with the rank of Ensign. [4]

At the age of 82 years William passed away 3 Dec 1873, Auburn, Massachusetts. [5]
