Biography

Janet was born about 1855. She is the daughter of Robert Emond and Elizabeth Brown.

Research Notes

Robert (47) and Elizabeth (43) were enumerated in the 1861 Canada Census farming in the Township of Nichol, County of Wellington. The children were: Margt (13), Mary (12), Wilmina (9), Jannet (6), and George (4). Parents born in Scotland, children in Upper Canada.^[1]

Robert (57) and Elizabeth (52) Emond were enumerated in the 1871 Canada Census farming in Kincardine, Bruce South, Ontario. The children were: Wilimina (19), Janet (16), and George (14). Parents born in Scotland, children in Ontario. Everyone is Scotch and Presbyterian.^[2]
