Biography
Anders was born in 1819[1] as the fourth child and first son of Eric Andersson and his wife Ellika Andersdotter in Räflabacken.[2] Sometime between 1822 and 1826 (when his two younger siblings Cajsa and Johannes were born, respectively) the family moved to Klockaregården, where Anders would live until 1853.[3][4][5][6]
In 1842[7] he married Johanna Andersdotter, with whom he had six children:
- Johan August, born 1843[8]
- Lars Peter, born 1848[11]
- Maja Cajsa, born 1851[12]
In 1853 the family moved to Sonarp Mellangården, where they took over Johanna's parents' farm.[15] Johanna passed away in 1863[16] and in 1865 Anders married Kajsa Larsdotter.[17] In 1871,[18] Anders sold the farm to his son Lars Peter and moved to Sonarp Dalbogården[19] with his wife and three youngest children. However, Kajsa passed away in 1876[20][21] and in 1882 they switched farms with Lars Peter's family, moving back to Mellangården.[22][23] Then in 1885, his youngest son Alfred married and took over the running of the farm, on the condition that Anders was allowed to live there until he died; this was a fairly common situation, known as being i brödet ("in the bread", because he was supplied with food).[24]
Anders passed away from old age in 1901,[25] 82 years old.
