Marriages

Married 1stly, before 1347 to Ingegärd Karlsdotter (Oreste Keldorssons ätt), possibly, on grounds of her purported grandmother's name and that Valdemar's wife is known to be a sibling of Israel Birgersson (Finstaätten), a daughter of the Privy Councillor and knight Karl Orestasson (Oreste Keldorssons ätt) and Helena Magnusdotter (Folkungaättens oäkta gren).^[1]

Married 2ndly, Helga Anundsdotter (Rörik Birgerssons ätt), daughter of the knight Anund Rörikssonand Cecilia Magnusdotter (Ivar Nilssons ätt); she is mentioned as his widow in 1396, and was still alive on the 30th December 1398, having re-married (before 1379) to Ya Königsmark.^[1][2]
