Biography

Harry Eronimous is the son of Frank Hieronimus and Nora Beismer. He was born 1899, probably in Debruce, Rockland, Sullivan County, New York. He is 11 months old on the 1900 U.S. Census which also indicates that he was born June 1899.^[1]

The family appears on the 1915 New York State census in Liberty, NY, but the transcription in the index converted Eronimous to Crommers, so it was difficult to find them.^[2]

He registered for the draft on Sept. 12, 1918 and was working at the Loomis Sanitorium, Loomis, Sullivan County, New York, at the time. His birthdate on his registration is June 2, 1899.^[3]

Harry married Esther Kenefick on June 30, 1920 in Liberty, NY.^[4] They had one daughter, Esther, born about 1921 according to calculations of her age on various censuses.

While the family is missing from various censuses, they are seen in New Jersey on the 1930 U. S. Census, ^[5]

The 1940 U.S. Census shows Harry with his wife and daughter Esther living, again, in Liberty, Sullivan County, New York.^[6]

He registered for the draft again for World War II, on Feb. 14, 1942.^[7]

Harry died, Jan. 30, 1994, in Garden Grove, Orange County, Calfiornia. ^[8] substantiated by the Social Security Death Index. ^[9] He is buried in the Good Shepherd Cemetery, Huntington Beach, CA.^[10]
