Biography

Parents are Melchior Esser and Anna Maria Klein.

Anton was the third husband on Catharina Becker Stauder Drott Esser. Anton was the son of Melichoir Esser and Anna Maria Klein. He was born May 1832 in Neideremdl, Prussia. He was in the Civil War from September 11, 1861 to November 22, 1862. His rack was Private, Company F, 5th Regiment of Missouri Infantry. He re-enlisted from December 5, 1864 to May 17, 1865 in the 39th Missouri Infantry Volunteers. The military records gave a physical description of him as being 5 feet 10 1/2 inches tall, dark complexion with brown hair.

Died of cancer per his burial permit.
