1917 Charles registered for the WWI draft. At that time he was employed in farming.[2]
He passed away on 30 June 1957 and was buried in Maplewood Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Emporia, Lyon County, Kansas,.[1] Memorial contains photo of gravestone.
