Biography
- Richard Charles (Tim) Evans-Lombe 1922-1940) was the son of Lt. Col-Charles Evans Lombe and his second wife Evelyn Gaitskell Burr.
- He joined the Royal Navy where he gained the rank of Midshipman.
- He was killed in action on board H.M.S. Norfolk (a County-class heavy cruiser of the Royal Navy) , when on the 16 March 1940 she recieved serious bomb damage resulting from a heavy air raid by a Luftwaffe bomber unit at Scapa Flow.
- He is buried in the Lyness Royal Naval Cemetery, Lyness, Orkney Islands, Scotland.
