Thomas married Mary Wright on 11 Sep 1814 at Rainford Chapel of Ease in the parish of Prescot, Lancashire. Both were of the local parish, and neither had been married before; Thomas was a bricklayer. The witnesses were Richard Calderbank and Esther Calderbank. [2]

Their daughter Margret was christened on 30 Jul 1815 at St Helens Chapel of Ease in the parish of Prescot, Lancashire. Her father's occupation was recorded as bricklayer, and the family's address as Hardshaw. [3]

Their son George was christened on 15 May 1831 at St Helens Chapel of Ease in the parish of Prescot, Lancashire. His father's occupation was recorded as brick layer, and the family's address as Sutton. [4]

On 21 Sep 1840, Thomas was one of the witnesses at the marriage of his sister Mary at the church of St Mary the Virgin in Prescot, Lancashire. [5]

By June 6th 1841, Thomas and Mary were living in Eccleston High Street, St Helens, Lancashire. [6]

By March 30th 1851, Thomas was widowed and living at No 14 Weld Row, Sutton, Lancashire with his married daughter Ann, his sons George and Joseph, and two grandsons. Thomas was a bricklayer. [7]
