Thomas Eyers was born on 16th November 1807 ^{[1] [2]} at Barton upon Irwell, Lancashire, England & baptised the same day, ^[3] at the Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, Barton upon Irwell, the son of Charles Eyers & Ann Barlow.

Thomas Eyres, Bachelor of this Parish, Miller married Mary Fildes of this Parish, Spinster in the parish church of Manchester (Cathedral) St. Mary, St. Denys & St. George on 31st January 1831 after Banns by R. Remington Chaplain. Thomas & Mary both signed their names. Witnesses were Thomas Parry & Willm Barlow. ^{[4] [5]}
