Elaine, daughter of Clarence Daniel Fager and Tonetta "Tonia" Stump, was born 26 September 1921 in Dallastown, York County, Pennsylvania.^[1]

In 1930, eight-year-old Elaine resided in a rented home at 336 Lexington Street in York, York County, with her parents Clarence D. (age 39, chain company machinist) and Donetta [sic] Fager (31), and sister Adelaide M. (16).^[2] Elaine (18) remained in the same house with her parents in 1940.^[3] She had graduated from high school and was working as a clerk in the local five-and-dime store.^[3]

She married James F. "Jim" Connolly with whom she had two daughters.^[4]

Elaine died 2 March 2010 in York.^[1][5]
