Joseph Uldric was born in 1879, the son of Joseph Farineau, carpenter, and Marie Rufiange. He was baptized on 3 May 1879 at Sainte-Philomène-de-Mercier. The parrain was Napoléon Farinault, cultivateur, and the marraine was Aurélie Rufiange.
He emigrated from Quèbec to Massachusetts with his parents and siblings, around 1888 or 1889.
Alderic married Emma Delorme on 28 October 1901 in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. They had eight children in twelve years.
He died in 1942 in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, USA, at the age of 63.
