OBITUARY. NARROGIN. An old and highly-respected settler has lately passed over to the great majority, namely, Mr. Thomas Farmer, of Hotham River. Some years ago he was kicked by a horse, and since then he has been a great sufferer. Dr. Roughan, the resident medical officer at the Williams River, attended him most assiduously at the local hospital. The body was conveyed about thirty miles to the Marradong Cemetery, where it was interred in the family vault. Mr. Farmer leaves a widow and a large family of children. His brother Charles died from lockjaw, caused by a gun accident while out exploring with Robert Austin in the Murchison district. The spot where this accident happened is near Mount Charles and Mount Farmer, in the vicinity of the Day Dawn town site.
