Biography

Ancil James Ferguson is the son of Joshua Ferguson and Rhoda David of McNairy County, Tennessee. He is buried at Oak Hill Cemetery, Selmer, Tennessee, sharing a headstone with his wife, Ada Clifton Ferguson.^[1]

There is a discrepancy with his date of death. His headstone provides a 1927 date; however, his Tennessee Death Certificate provides a 1928 date of death. The Tennessee Death Certificate is the more reliable date as it was completed close to the time of death.^[2]
