Biography

Samuel was born in 1808 in Smith County, Tennessee to Nathaniel Ferrier and Nancy Patterson.

Samuel moved to Callaway County, Missouri about 1817 along with his father, Nathaniel and brother Thomas. They were also accompanied by a nephew, Thomas (Long Tom) Ferrier. He married Alice Shannon, daughter of James Shannon who was the first settler on Hancock's Prairie in Callaway County. Samuel would later move to Washington Territory.[1]

He passed away in 1882. He is buried at Little Falls Cemetery in Vader, Washington.[2]
