Israel W. Field was born on February 20,1823 in Conway, Franklin, Massachusetts. He was the son of Joel Field and Philinda Wilder. [1] His father died in 1838. In 1850, Israel lived in his mother's household in Conway. [2]
On July 25, 1851, Israel married Elizabeth A. Ranney, daughter of Sarah and James Ranney, in Greenfield, Franklin, Massachusetts. [3] They lived in Conway, Franklin, Massachusetts. Israel was a farmer. [4] In 1860, Israel and Elizabeth had two children, Eleanor and Edgar. Israel's mother, Philinda Wilder, lived with them in Conway. [5]
Israel died on December 17, 1863 of congestion of the lungs in Conway, Franklin, Massachusetts. He was a mechanic. [6] He was buried in North Shirkshire Cemetery, Conway, Franklin, Massachusetts. [7]
