Biography

Lewis Finn was born in the Colony of South Australia (1836-1900)

Lewis Finn is an Anzac who served in World War One.

Lewis Herbert Finn was born in 1895. He was the son of William Finn and Jane Jones. ^[1]

He enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force in July 1915. Lewis embarked from Adelaide on 27 Oct 1915 on HMAT Benalla A24 with the 11th reinforcement, 12th Australian Infantry Battalion. He served with the 10th Field Ambulance Brigade. Lewis was wounded in action and returned to Australia in March 1918.

He married Norma Maud Dinhock 2 Dec 1922 at the residence of Mrs Dinhock, Adelaide. ^[2]

Lewis passed away age 62 ^[3] and was buried in West Terrace Cemetery. ^[4]
