Birth & Baptism 1851 Scorborough

Edward Fisher was born in 1851 in Scorborough by Leconfield, where his father was also born. ^{[1] [2]}

Edward was the son of Samuel Fisher of Scorborough and his wife Elizabeth Todd of Cottingham.

A Big Family and a Big Pub 1861 Cranswick

In 1861 his parents Samuel and Elizabeth Fisher are running the Londesborough Arms in Cranswick, a big pub just off the main road from Beverley to Driffield and on to Bridlington and Scarborough. The three oldest children are helping to run the pub, while the younger five are at school, though this seems a bit doubtful in the case of Lucy, just 8 months old. It also seems unlikely that Edward aged almost 10 would be allowed much playtime while the pub was busy and he could be keeping the place clean and tidy. ^[3]

Death and Burial 1864 Cranswick

Edward died in 1864 in Hutton Cranswick aged just 13. ^[4]
