In 1898, Eliza's husband, George F. Schuyler, passes away in Syracuse, New York.

In the 1900 Federal Census, Eliza, age 39, is widowed and living with her mother Helen Fisher, son George S. Schuyler and three other persons in Syracuse, New York. Note: Eliza's birthdate is listed as February 1861 on this record. ^[2]

Eliza passed away in Syracuse, New York in 1912. She is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in Syracuse. ^{[3] [4]}
