Norman, major tenant of Roger Bigod in Domesday Norfolk. Benefactor of the Bigod foundation at Thetford, for which his charters show that he married Matilda de Lanquetot; one of his charters mentions his son Gilbert and Gilbert's wife Richildis; others mention his daughter Agnes, who married Robert de Vaux (Vallibus q.v.); a charter of Agnes mentions her brother Simon (BL Lansdowne 229, fol.145v). His grants to Thetford, with the assent of his son Gilbert, were confirmed by Henry I (RRAN ii, 1246 and p.338).
