ROSELAND-Emmett Booker Fitzgerald, 87, died yesterday at 11:55 p.m. at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Buen Wood at Massies Mill. He was born in Nelson County on March 6, 1879. He was the son of James and Ardina Coffey Fitzgerald. He was a member of Beech Grove Christian Church. In addition to Mrs. Wood he is survived by two other daughters, Mrs. Lina Fitzgerald of Roseland and Mrs. K. M. Coffey of Lyndhurst; 21 grandchildren and 67 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Preston Parry Funeral Chapel to be conducted by the Rev. J. D. Farries and the Rev. Hugh Boyd. Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Her grandsons will serve as the active pallbearers. The family will assemble at the home of Mrs. Wood before the service. Waynesboro News Virginian: December 24, 1966
