Biography

Jerry was born in Salt Lake County, Utah on June 28, 1915, to Peter Fivas and Emma Widmark. His father, a Greek immigrant who came to the United States in 1904. His mother was a first-generation American born to Swedish immigrants.
In 1920, his family owned a house on 11th East Street in Salt Lake, Utah. His father supported the family with his carpentry skills. [1]

Marriage

He married Alaire June Nelson on February 25, 1939[2][3]
After their marriage, Alaire put her entrepreneurial spirit she picked up from her dad and helped Jerry manage three businesses including the AnJ Market, Jerry's Saucer Burger, and Alaire's Apparel. [4]
In 1940, the young couple lived on 120 East 4th South Street in Salt Lake City, Utah. Jerry worked as a furnace helper in a smelting company.[5]
Over the course of their marriage, the couple had 3 daughters. They had to say goodbye to Barbara in 2006.

Education

He attended South High School in Utah [4]

Death and Burial

On June 17, 2001, he died in West Valley City, Salt Lake, Utah. He is buried with his wife in Larkin Sunset Gardens in the Garden of Devotion plot in Utah. [4]
