Almost nothing is known of Elisabeth Flötemeier. Her name appears as the mother of the bride on the marriage record of Hillebrand Oosterwal and Margarethe Theresia Obrikat.[1] Elisabeth apparently died prematurely because her husband appears on another marriage record as the father of the bride but with a different person given as the mother of the bride.[2] A grandson of Elisabeth once remarked that his mother, Margarethe, did not care much for her stepmother but he said that his step-grandmother was always good to him.[3]
