Biography

Ophelia was born in 1853. Ophelia Flanders ... She passed away in 1945.

In 1860 she was living in Wells Township, Rice, Minnesota.[1] The household included L K Flanders age 40 born in New Hampshire, Rhoda Flanders age 35 born in Ohio, Isabella Flanders age 14 born in Illinois, Sarah Flanders age 12 born in Illinois, Ellen Flanders age 10 born in Illinois, Rhoda Flanders age 6 born in Minnesota and Margrett Flanders age 2 born in Minnesota. L K was a mason.

In June 1865 she was living in Woodland, Wright, Minnesota.[2] The household included L K Flanders, Rhoda Flanders, Izabelle Flanders, Sarah Flanders, Ellenor Flanders, Rhoda Flanders, Margaret Flanders, Olive Flanders and George Flanders. It is possible she was working nearby in Rockford, Wright, Minnesota.

In 1870 she was living in Marysville Township, Wright, Minnesota.[3] The household included Leonard Flanders age 50 born in New Hampshire, Rhoda Flanders age 46 born in Ohio, Ellen Flanders age 17 born in Illinois, Rhoda Flanders age 14 born in Minnesota, Olive Flanders age 9 born in Minnesota, and George Flanders age 6 born in Minnesota. Leonard was a farmer.

Ellen Flanders and William Vail were married

In 1875 she was living in Minneapolis City, Ward 10, Hennepin, Minnesota.[4] The household included Wm Vail age 39 born in Illinois, Ellen Vail age 22 born in Illinois, Ellen Vail age 1 born in Minnesota, William Vail age 0 born in Minnesota and Nellie Philips age 8 born in Minnesota.

Ellen and William were divorced in 1884.

Ellen married Norman Dyer

In 1885 she was living in Rockford, Wright, Minnesota.[5] The household included Norman Dyer age 66 born in Ohio, Ellen Dyer age 32 born in Illinois, Nellie Vale born in Minnesota, John Vale age 9 born in Minnesota, George W Vale age 7 born in Minnesota and Charles D Vale age 5 born in Minnesota.

Ellen married Omer L Woodard about 1892.

Ernest Leroy Woodard was born 27 Aug 1893 in Montrose, Wright, Minnesota. He was the son of Omer Lewis Woodard and Ophelia Ellen Flanders Woodard.[6]

In 1895 she was living in Rockford township, Wright, Minnesota.[7] The household included Omer L Woodard age 43 born in New York, Ella Woodard age 41 born in Illinois and Ernest L Woodward age 1 born in Minnesota. Omer was a marble agent. Living next door were Guy Dyer age 8, John H Vail age 19, and Charles Vail age 15, all born in Minnesota.

In 1900 she was living in Civil District 1, Williamson, Tennessee.[8] The household included Omer L Wooderd age 48 born in New York, wife Ellen Wooderd age 47 born in Minnesota, son Earnest L Wooderd age 7 born in Minnesota and grandson Guy N Dire age 14 born in Minnesota. Omer was a farmer. Ellen was the mother of 7 children, 6 living.

Ellen married Waters

In 1920 she was living in Fossil, Wheeler, Oregon.[9] The household included Ellen Waters age 66 born in Illinois and son Earnest Leroy Woodard age 26 born in Minnesota. Ellen was a widow. Ernest was an auto driver for a jitney.

In 1930 she was living in Portland (Districts 1-219), Multnomah, Oregon.[10] She was age 73, widowed, living in the Odd Fellows home.

In 1940 she was living in Tract 3, Portland, Portland City Election Precinct 100, Multnomah, Oregon.[11] She was age 86, widowed, living in the I.O.O.F. home.

She died 26 Nov 1945 in Portland, Oregon.[12][13]

She is buried in River View Cemetery, Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon.[14]
