Hanorah Foley was born in October, 1895 in Waimate, Canterbury, New Zealand, daughter of John Foley (~1853–1923) and Hanorah Michaela Leonard (~1862–~1936).

Hanorah (20) married John Ross (23) (born on September 22, 1892 in Enfield, Oamaru, Otago; son of John Alexander Ross and Bridget Agnes (McCarthy) Ross) in 1916 in Waimate.

Hanorah died on January 5, 1976 in Oamaru, Otago, New Zealand, aged 80. She was buried in the Waimate Cemetery. [1]
