Biography

Peleg, son of Thomas and Jane (Thomas) Ford, was born on March 1, 1746/7 and died there on November 23, 1798. His is buried in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Marshfield.

He married Olive Sampson on October 4, 1781 in Marshfield. Olive is the daughter of Paul and Esther (Chandler) Samson. She was born in Duxbury on April 8, 1756 and died in Marshfield on October 16, 1825.

Peleg and Olive resided in Marshfield where they had six children:

  1. Consider
  2. Francis Gray
  3. Peleg Thomas
  4. Ruth
  5. Rebecca
  6. Chandler

He died in 1798 He is buried at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Marshfield.[1]

Probate

Peleg Ford of Marshfield, yeoman died intestate and on 4 March 1799, his widow Olive Ford was granted the administration of his estate.[2]

His inventory was taken on 29 May 1799 in Marshfield.[3]

In 1808, Chandler Sampson of Marshfield was appointed guardian to his son, Chandler Ford, a minor under the age of 14 years.[4]

He is attached to the wrong parents. Different parents are named in the bio and these parents are too young to be his parents.

He should be attached to Thomas and Jane, like the bio said. They did not have profiles. Peleg is attached to the correct parents, with Peleg being mentioned in his father's will.
