Minnie gave my phone number to one of her cousins. He called me last night. He is 74 years old and only lives about 6 miles from here. Anyway he said he remembers where Mattison lived, because his dad told him every time they went by the property. He would say Mat Ford used to own that property. He was your grandfather's brother. he is the first one I have talked to that had ever even heard the name unless they were doing family tree. He also knew what happened to Grandma's brother (Thomas/ Tommy ) He called him Tom Ford. He said he killed three blacks and left town. He said no one ever heard from him after that. He didn't remember ever hearing grandma's name or any of her other brothers and sisters. said in the plot where William and his family are buried there is one grave without a stone. It is marked with a rock at the top of the grave and a rock at the bottom of the grave. She thinks this is probable Jane Young Ford's grave. I bet she is right. James is probable buried in a Civil War grave in Alabama. If Cecil went to Alabama to get his mother it was probable after James Madison died. Love You.
