Maria Fordon/Ferdon[1] was born in 1797. She married Jacob S Tompkins February 11, 1819.[2][3] She died in 1886.[4] She was confirmed at Poughkeepsie Reformed Church in 1833, as the widow of Jacob S. Tompkins.[5] A Maria Tompkins was dismissed to the Presbyterian Church April 4, 1845.[6] There was a Maria Tompkins living in Hyde Park in 1880 with the children A. Caroline Tompkins, A. Theodore Tompkins and Jacob S. Tompkins. Find a Grave gives the dates of Jacob S. Tompkins as (1835-1895) suggesting that the date for his father is wrong.
