Jane migrated to Australia with her brother James on the "Hotspur" October 1857, registered as Elizabeth Forrest on ship, Elizabeth Forrest had married Robert Thom 13/12/1853 Neilston, Renfrew, Scotland.
Jane married William Godson (widower May 1855) on the 25th May 1860, in the Presbyterian Manse,Sandhurst, witness's Thomas Moses & Mary Todd.
Called herself Jane on marriage cert.& children's birth certs.
Died 13 APR 1890. Leichart,Shire of Marong, County of Bendigo, Victoria. Cause: Morbus Cordis 1 year (no disease or medical condition named).
Buried 15 APR 1890. Bridgewater, Victoria, Australia.
