Biography

Thomas Forshaw was born in about 1775 in Lancashire.

Thomas married Maria Williams on 22 Apr 1805 at the church of St Mary the Virgin in Prescot, Lancashire. Both were of Windle, and neither had been married before; Thomas was a miller. The witnesses were Isaac Millns? and Ann Smith. [1]

Maria died on 22 Sep 1807, aged 25, and was buried at Windleshaw Chantry (Catholic). [2]

Thomas married Mary Hawksey on 6 Nov 1808 at Farnworth Chapel of Ease in the parish of Prescot, Lancashire, by licence. Both were of Farnworth near Prescot (according to the marriage record); Thomas was a miller, Mary a spinster. The witnesses were Nen Hawksey and Peter Shaw. According to the bond, Thomas was of Windle in the parish of Prescot while Mary was of Widness in the chapelry of Farnworth in the parish of Prescot. He as 32 or older and widowed, she was 27 or older and hadn't been married before. John Langley (farmer of Widness in the parish of Prescot) co-signed the bond. [3] [4]

Their son Henry was born in about 1813 in St Helens, Lancashire.

Their son Thomas was born in about 1818 in St Helens, Lancashire.

Their daughter Ann was born in about 1821 in St Helens, Lancashire.

Their daughter Elizabeth was born in about 1825 in St Helens, Lancashire.

Their son Joseph was born in about 1826 in St Helens, Lancashire.

By June 6th 1841, they were living in Liverpool Road, Eccleston; Thomas was a miller. [5]

Thomas died in about 1850 in Prescot district; his age was recorded as 75. [6]
