Marie Anne Catherine Fortin was born and baptized on 24 Nov 1889 in Saint-Honoré-de-Shenley parish in Beauce, Québec, Canada. She was the daughter of Andre Fortin, farmer, and Basilisse Drouin. of this parish Sponsors at Marie Anne's baptism were Télesphore Bilodeau and Rose de Lima Belanger (wife of François Lepage) neither signed the register. At age 16 Marie Anne married Adelard Vachon on 9 Jan 1906 in Saint-Honoré-de-Shenley parish in Beauce. Marie Anne died at age 84 on 1 Mar 1974 in Saint-Vital, Lambton, Frontenac, Québec.
