Biography
Joseph Octave Fortin was born on 23 Feb 1825 and was baptized the next day in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli parish in L'Islet. He was the son of François Fortin and Marie Geneviève Chouinard. Godparents at Joseph Octave's baptism were Amable Chouinard and Geneviève Fortin. Joseph died at age of about seven weeks on 3 Apr 1825; he was buried three days later on 6 Apr in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli's parish cemetery.
