Biography

William, or Will or W.G. as he was sometimes called, was born in 1860, the son of Peter and Mary Louise (Hester) Fox, in Christian County, Kentucky, where he was raised. Will would still be living with his parents in 1880, but at some point between then and 1895 he moved to Tennessee. This is where he met and married Minnie M. Coleman, the daughter of William Milus and Roseanna N. (Bradshaw) Coleman, in Montgomery County, Tennessee. Will was 13 years older than Minnie.

They would have one child, a daughter:

Minnie Mai Fox (1895–1916)

Will was a farmer to support his family. It must have been very hard when their only child died of Tuberculosis at just 21 years of age in 1916.

Will would live until 1936 when he passed at 75 years of age. His body is buried along with Minnie's and their daughter in the Riverside Cemetery in Hopkinsville, Christian County, Kentucky.
