Biography

Alfred Fox has German Roots.

Alfred Fox was a centenarian, living to age 100.

Alfred was born in 1910 in Manhattan, New York. He was the son of Gustave Fox and Cornelia Schmehl.

He began his career in the mailroom at Mutual of New York at age 16 and retired in 1970 as the Head Underwriter for the Eastern Region. After retiring, he moved to New jersey to be closer to his grandchildren.

He was married twice. He married his first wife, Alida Pauline Precht, in 1933 in Manhattan. They had four children together, one son, and three daughters. She passed away in 1974.

He married his second wife, Anna Dorfman née Hymovitz, in 1984 in Margate, New Jersey. They were married seventeen years and traveled the world until she was stricken with Alzheimer's. He cared for her every day until she passed away in 2001.

He passed away in 2010 in Atlantic, New Jersey.
