William "Willie"[1] D. Franklin was born Aug 1868 in Ohio[2] to Daniel W. Franklin and Elizabeth Adams.[1][3]
After his father's death his mother married second, Sidney A. Kennedy.[3][2]
William married Anna May[4] Webster on 31 Aug 1895 in Cuyahoga County, Ohio[5][6][7] about 1895[2] and the couple had the following known children:
Donald William Franklin was born 16 Mar 1896 in Pierpont, Ashtabula County, Ohio.[4][2][8][9]
Raymond R. Franklin was born 02 Jun 1897 in Pierpont, Ashtabula County, Ohio.[7][2][10][11]
Charles Vernon[12] Franklin was born 20 Aug 1898 in Pierpont, Ashtabula County, Ohio.[6][2][13]
In the 1900 census, he was living with his wife, 3 young sons next door to his in-laws farm in Kingsville, Ashtabula, Ohio. His mother and step-father were also living with William and his young family. He was working as a farm laborer, perhaps for his father-in-law.[2]
He died in Kingsville, Ashtabula, Ohio in 1903 at the age of 34 - cause of death, endocarditis.[14]
