A. Her birth record gives her middle name as "Catherina," but Daughter Alma Lamberton's Birth Certificate lists her name as Mary E. (for Emma?) Freude as does Alma's Death Certificate. [19]Lamberton-139 14:32, 3 June 2023 (UTC)
B. Research by Stephen Cymbalsky has turned up references to the family name in official records as spelled "Frende," apparently a misinterpretation of the handwriting on their immigration papers that makes the "u" look like an "n." Other records from New York spell their surname as "Freudy." Lamberton-139 14:32, 3 June 2023 (UTC)
