Biography

Catharine Barbara Freÿ was born about 18 December 1800 in Sparwiesen, Göppinger Landkreis, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, daughter of Johannes Freÿ and Catharina Breitenbucher.^[1]

Catharine married Christian Eduard Schöllkopf on 7 May 1822 in Albershausen, Württemberg, Deutschland.^[2] Their children were:

Catherine and her family emigrated to the United States in Spring of 1853.^[10] Catherine and her husband and six of their children settled in Addison, Washington, Wisconsin. The 1870 US census shows Catherine (age 70) living alone with her husband in Addison, Wisconsin.^[11]

Catharine died on 3 June 1882 in Barton, Washington County, Wisconsin, United States of America aged 81.^[12]
