Biography

Sarah was born about 1857 in Timsbury, Somerset,^[1] the daughter of James Fricker and Lydia Doddington. The family were living at Crocombe, Timsbury, Somerset.^[2]

in 1871, Sarah appears to be a domestic servant living about 9 miles away from Timsbury in Walcot, now a suburb of Bath, with the family of Robert Fynn, a clerk, and their lodgers.^[3]

in 1881 she was in Bristol working as a general domestic servant for Reuben Lyon, a foreign woodwork importer, and his sisters Harriette and Ada, both ostrich feather dyers.^[4]
