Anna was born on 9 June 1840 in Reckenthal, Hessen-Nassau, Preussen. She was the daughter of Johann Adam Frink and Helena Ortseifen.^[1]

When Anna was 24 she married Peter Braun on 13 September 1864 in Horressen, Hessen-Nassau, Preussen. The couple had one child: Christian Braun.^[2][3]
