Biography
Mary "Polly" Frost was born on 17 April 1767 in Gorham, Maine. Her parents were David Frost and Mary (Johnson) Frost[1].
She married Joseph Hamblen on 28 November 1807 in Gorham[2]. They had eleven children[3]:
- 1. Cyrus, born 5 Oct 1789; married Betsey Freeman
- 2. Charles, born 19 Sep 1791; married Susan Cotton
- 3. Sarah, born 7 Jul 1793; married John Freeman
- 4. Nathaniel, born 8 Nov 1794; married Sally Shane
- 5. Mary, born 7 Sep 1796; married Thomas Johnson
- 6. Isaac, born 6 Sep 1798; married 1st Martha Phinney, 2nd Temperance Sturgis
- 7. Joseph F., born 26 Nov 1800; married Phebe Libby
- 8. Levi, born 12 Apr 1803
- 9. Hannah, born 15 Jul 1805
- 10. Sabrina, born 7 Jul 1809; married John Lewis
- 11. Eleanor, born 1812; died 1814
Polly passed away on 7 March 1860 in Gorham[4] and is buried in Fort Hill Cemetery.[5]
