Stella married Charles Roberts on 30 Mar 1912 in Craig, Oklahoma. They had divorced before 1926 and Stella married Cecil Carl Adams.

Children with Roberts: Sylvia May (died young), Charles Mitchell, Clarence Dale, Katherine Jewel, and Herman Morgan.

Children with Adams: Norma Jean, Lois, and Cecil JR.
