Biography
Joel was born about 1829. He served in the Confederate Army in Company K, 36th Infantry and Company E, Mississippi 39th Infantry Regiment. He passed away on 17 April 1863 in CSA Camp Moore. He was described as tall, slender, with blue eyes and auburn hair. The date is included on his CSA papers.
This line has been approved for Daughters of the American Revolution. The birth and death dates of Nancy Elizabeth Broome are not included in the approval because there is no proof. Her tombstone has been destroyed and no known photo is available.
