Biography

According to Zwicker^[15], Johann Georg was born in 1676 and served for a time as a member of the town council ("Ratsverwandter"). He is identified as a "citizen and wine grower" in the birth record of his son Johann Jacob^[2]. He married Anna Margaretha Steinlin in Untertürkheim on 20 Sep 1698^[1] according to the Julian calendar then in use --- converted to Gregorian date 30 Sep 1698). Anna died on 18 Jan 1721^[10]. They had eight children:

2. Eva Magdalena, (born 5 Feb 1702^[3]),

3. Georg Marcus, (born 6 Mar 1704^[4]),

4. Georg Heinrich, (born 10 Apr 1705^[5]),

5. Hanns Georg, (born 15 Sep 1707^[6]),

6. Susanna Catharina, (born 10 Apr 1709^[7]),

7. Eva Rosina, (born 31 May 1712^[8]),

8. Maria Margaretha, (born 24 Aug 1714^[9]).

Johann remarried on 26 Aug 1721^[11]. His second wife, Maria Barbara Tuchel was the daughter of the late Christoph Tuchel, "paperer" in Urach, Württemberg. Johann had two more children with Maria Barbara, ,

9. Christoph Jacob (born 23 Jul 1723^[12]), and

10. Christina Magdalena (born 3 Feb 1725^[13]).

Johann Georg died on 4 July 1741 at the age of 65^[14].
